The Professorship Project - Your Path to a Diversified Career Perspective<\/p>\n\t

The aim of the PROfessur project is to recruit women for a professorship at a university of applied sciences (FH) or a university of applied sciences (HAW). Various FHs and HAWs cooperate to achieve this goal. The network of these cooperating universities informs and advises interested women. It assists in establishing contacts within the network and provides information on subject-specific job advertisements.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t

We - the women's and equal opportunities representatives - see this as a great opportunity to increase the number of female professors.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBecome a professor\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t

Do you love science and research?<\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t

And likewise your practical work?<\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t

Do you like working with young people?<\/p>\n\t\t\t

And do you feel like passing on your knowledge?<\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t

A secure job is important to you?<\/p>\t\t\n\t

Then become a professor at a UAS or HAW and combine teaching, research and practice.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTeaching\t<\/h3>\n\t

Share your knowledge from your daily work and university life. Be a role model and share your female perspective and experiences with students. Hold lectures and educate the professionals of tomorrow.<\/p>\nResults from this first phase of the project are available in a Interim report<\/strong> at the end of 2002, the Report on the second project set-up phase January - June 2003<\/strong> and the Evaluation of an online survey 2004<\/strong> and the Results of the more comprehensive evaluation in 2006<\/strong> summarised. Since then, current developments have been documented annually in a smaller evaluation.\n

For the period from May 2002 to December 2006 inclusive, the project was funded by the MWK. Since January 2007, \"PROfessur\" has been continued by the participating universities in Lower Saxony from their own funds. In the meantime, universities in Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein have also joined the project.<\/p>\n
